Accenture Thailand
“The Nth Floor” is a technology solution that was exhibited at SX2022 by Accenture. The main feature of its solution is that the user(s) can connect to the “metaverse” world through a “digital twin” of the virtual office and collaborate through the created virtual work environment where they can work, train, and interact across the world without traveling. When the demand for transport services decreases, it results in a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, respectively. Moreover, this solution also has the potential to expand the learning opportunities for those who live in rural areas which improve social equality. For instance, metaverse has the potential to create immersive essential learning experiences and opportunities for those in rural areas with no physical classrooms. Hence, creating a sustainable learning opportunity. As mentioned above, Mr. Jurgen Coppens, Managing Director, Sustainability Lead, Southeast Asia, Accenture, said that the result of the CEO study on the Sustainability survey, which is the collaboration between UNGC (United Nations Global Compact) and Accenture has shown that almost all C-level executives agree on the importance of sustainability, and have applied it as part of organizations’ strategies and policies.
Dell Technologies
“Dell PowerScale” is a technology solution that was exhibited at SX2022 by Dell. This solution is software that functions as unstructured data storage. Besides, another solution called “Data Protection and Backup Solutions” is used for storing and backing up data securely. Lastly, “Sustainable devices and infrastructure” are devices and packaging that are produced by reusing and recycling either devices or trash from oceans; such as plastic straws and bottles. As mentioned above, Mr. Anothai Wettayakorn, Vice President, Asia Emerging Markets and South Asia Consumer Business, Dell Technologies, said that technology had become an essential part of our lives, which led to the demand for technology products increasing promptly to meet customer needs. Meanwhile, product disposal after use was also something about which we should be concerned.
Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.
“Huawei FusionSolar Smart PV Solutions” is a technology solution that was exhibited at SX2022 by Huawei. This solution can entirely convert solar energy into clean energy. Furthermore, it is powered by Artificial Intelligence or AI, which can detect any errors in a solar system, such as arc. If any errors occur, AI will accurately detect and automatically shut down the inverter system within 0.5 seconds in order to protect the reverse current. Lastly, it can also save any remaining energy for later use through the Energy Storage System, or ESS. As mentioned above, F.E. (Edwin) Diender, Chief Innovation Officer, Global Electric Power Digitalization Business Unit, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., said that digital technology had driven the concept of sustainability due to its ability to calculate, analyze, and process data rapidly, which increased the security and enhanced environmental resources in various sectors, such as the industrial sector, education sector, and medical sector.
Microsoft (Thailand) Ltd.
“Microsoft Hololens” is a technology solution that was exhibited at SX2022 by Microsoft. This solution is used for connecting to a mixed-reality world, which combines the real world with the digital world. When users wear Hololens, they will be able to touch or move the objects they want through 3D virtual models. For instance, in the education sector, both teachers and learners can use this solution in order to learn through 3D models, which motivates them to have an effective learning experience. Moreover, in the medical sector, Hololens can help to make better treatments by showing patient information in 3D models. Besides, another solution called “Dynamics 365 Remote Assist” can support hybrid working by sharing real-time communication and receiving assistance from an expert. As mentioned above, Vissut Medhisuvakul, CMO Lead, Microsoft (Thailand) Ltd., said that sustainability was significant, especially in controlling carbon emissions from transportation; meanwhile, most recent technological inventions were designed to solve these problems, which help to increase security and save time.
Salesforce.com (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
“Salesforce Net Zero Cloud” is a technology solution that was exhibited at SX2022 by Salesforce. This solution is able to accurately detect and promptly measure carbon emissions and upload the results to the Cloud. Furthermore, another technology solution called “SLACK by salesforce solution” is equipment that contributes to making your life better. For instance, in healthcare, SLACK is a collaborative tool with Tele home Health Solutions for well-being. Physicians are able to diagnose patients’ diseases from information uploaded via the cloud platform and to hold face-to-face meetings with patients directly. As mentioned above, Kittipong Asawapichayon, Area Vice President & Managing Director, Salesforce Thailand, said that climate change has directly affected everyone and it is socially responsible to solve these problems; meanwhile, an organization could invest in “Carbon Credit”, which was an optional activity in order to net all those carbon emissions.
SAP (Thailand) Ltd.
“SAP’s 3 Zeros Strategy” is a technology solution that was exhibited at SX2022 by SAP, and stands for “Zero Emission, Zero Waste, and Zero Inequality.” In terms of Zero Emission, it is software that provides functions for carbon detection and measurement, along with collecting data from every single process in an organization in order to evaluate and develop to eventually reach zero emissions. Secondly, Zero Waste is software that is used for calculating all manufacturing processes, especially the packaging from reused and recycled materials. Lastly, Zero Inequality is a place where anyone can be anonymous and also can express their opinions freely without identifying their gender, personality, or education level. As mentioned above, Mr. David Coldrey, Sustainable Lead, SAP SEA, said that our company always realized the importance of customers and the environment so the “Holistic Steering & Reporting” was developed in order to report the calculated business data, which could increase the organization’s ability to make decisions and prepare themselves to be a sustainable organization.
Tencent Cloud under Tencent (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
“Tencent IoT platform” is a technology solution that was exhibited at SX2022 by Tencent Cloud. It is a platform that connects devices with technology in order to collect data and upload it via the Cloud, such as electricity consumption, so an organization can analyze the data and develop it to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, another technology solution called “Tencent Cloud Smart Video Analysis Platform” or SVAP is a solution that can detect particular things, like floating junk and suspected objects in public waters. Once any violations are detected, alarms will be sent to related parties promptly to ensure a nice & clean environment. Lastly, “Tencent Ray Data Virtualization Interactive System” is a management system that uses real data to create a 3D virtual model. For instance, collecting electricity consumption data on each floor from the 3D model in order to accurately control it. As mentioned above, Mr. Chang Foo, Chief Operating Officer, Tencent Cloud under Tencent (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said that technology enhanced society to have a better life but it also increased greenhouse gas emissions as well; therefore, it’s essential to develop sustainable technology in order to reach net zero emissions.
